Carlos Perez is no longer serving as the director and CIO of the Wayne County Department of Information Technology, a county spokesperson confirmed.
His last day in the position was June 11, according to Communications Director William Nowling with the office of Wayne County Executive Warren Evans. Nowling said that Perez was not reappointed to the position.
Perez had held the position since September 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“My time serving Wayne County as CIO is over,” Perez said in a LinkedIn post. “While I am excited for the future, I have to say that it has truly been an honor to serve in this capacity.”
Until a permanent replacement is hired, Hector Roman will be serving as interim director and CIO of the department.
