DITO CME, the communications, media, and entertainment arm of the Udenna Group and CloudSwyft, one of the first Philippine-based global education technology businesses, recently announced their collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, to elevate the digital transformation mindset of Filipinos via their online education platform LUNA Academy.

Alibaba Cloud will equip LUNA Academy, an online educational platform jointly launched by DITO CME and CloudSwyft, with its leading cloud computing and storage products, including Elastic Compute Service (ECS) and Object Storage Service (OSS), to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of virtual labs for learners taking up its courses.

Donald Lim, chief operating officer of DITO CME and a strong advocate of the importance and value of digital upskilling, and upschooling said, “This planned collaboration with Alibaba Cloud will provide Filipinos opportunities to expand competencies as members of the workforce amid the challenges posed by the pandemic.”

CloudSwyft Founder and CEO Dann Angelo De Guzman said, “Our partnership with Alibaba Cloud underpins our shared mission to improve knowledge and capability of Filipinos in the fields of cloud computing. We will work toward equipping learners with 21st century skills to prepare them for modern career opportunities in the digital era.”

“We are truly thankful to partner with LUNA Academy to launch training programs in the Philippines. Alibaba Cloud is extending its full support for this initiative by leveraging its cutting-edge technologies to equip Filipinos with the right skills needed to excel in their future careers and help accelerate the country’s digital transformation.
